How to Boil an Egg

I'm not a dumb person, and this is a dumb task, I should be able to do it flawlessly time after time. However, this has not been the case, and various techniques have disappointed, so I'm throwing it out there: do any of you know the perfect way to hard boil eggs? I'm talking, one crack, two half shells, piece of cake, perfect. If so, let me know!

So you don't know me exactly, but I am JJ Kissinger's sister and we've met like twice. I saw this and thought I'd help you out. Put however many eggs you want in a pot. Cover them with water. Put it on medium/high heat until it begins boiling. Once the water is boiling, boil the eggs for about 13-14 minutes and they will be perfect. Take them off the heat, run the entire pot with the eggs in it under cold water for about a minute. At that point, you can crack the shells and open them and the white will be hard, the yellow will be perfect, and you have a perfect hard boiled egg. Enjoy!

This'll probably sound like a kid talking about how to prepare a turkey for Thanksgiving...Put your eggs in an uncovered pot; turn on the burner and let the water temperature gradually rise til the eggs are boiling for around 8 minutes; turn off the burner, leaving the pot on the burner to gradually cool; when the water's warm rinse the eggs with cold water. Your eggs will peal easily and look beautiful. For best results, eat only the whites :-)
